Custom-built workflows gather Canadian job postings from dozens of sites every day. As each posting comes in, it’s normalized, stored, and scored — the older a listing gets, or the longer it sits unfilled, the lower its score drops. We also trace behavior back to the company doing the posting: employers who show a pattern of bad-faith listings have their scores pulled down until their postings fall below the Top 100 threshold. The database itself is rescanned every hour to catch and remove duplicate and reposted listings before they ever reach you.
Every scored posting is then run against your own scoring algorithm — built by AIDA from your resume and Career Bio — so the score you see is relative to you, not a generic ranking. The top 100 results become that day’s Job-o-Matic Top 100 Report.
Even a good Top 100 has a few postings that only look right. A company’s boilerplate can pass the score on every listing it runs. The same opening gets reposted across five different cities. A certification match lands inside a completely unrelated word buried in the description. The Job-o-Matic can’t catch any of that by design — it scores text, not meaning.
The Data Queen reads the Top 100 in context, the way a person would, and narrows it down to the roughly 15 to 50 postings that are the strongest, most legitimate match. It costs a little more to run — but Data Queen’s Picks are always the highest-quality list you’ll see.
